Butterfly has introduced a brand new racket series. These rackets are referred to as the Medieval Series. AKA go medieval on your opponents. In the Medieval Age, the Spatha was a popular long sword that enabled a greater reach in battle. It was used for all types of conflict and capable of producing a fatal blow with a single thrust. The Spatha is a shakehand grip racket that provides excellent distance play with increased speed while still offering a sufficient amount of spin and control. The Spatha racket is also a 1.8mm sponge racket, and has Wakaba Japanese rubber. This racket will play very similar to the Ranseur, but with a little more speed and spin. If you are trying to decide between the Ranseur, and the Spatha, you should consider how much spin you want to put on the ball. The Spatha has the ability to put more spin, and the Ranseur has that extra touch of control. Excellent all-purpose racket for the offensive-minded competetive recreational player.
Foam Core Technology
The Spatha has a foam core handle that absorbs vibration or impact offering a better feel. This new design shifts the weight from the handle of the blade to the head, dramatically enlarging the sweet spot and adding more power to every stroke.
