This is the upgrade you need if you are advancing from an amateur player to a competitive player. The Amicus Basic Robot is a great tool to turn casual players into amateur players but it has its limits. If you have already mastered the practice options available in the Amicus Basic robot this upgrade will help you further develop your skills. This gives the Basic robot the advanced abilities and features of the Advance Robot. The change occurs through the control box which attached to the rest of the apparatus of the Amicus Robot. The rest of the robot does not need to change since the changes are changes in the way the robot performs; this is the equivalent of giving the robot a new brain.
The control box will increase the memory slots in your robot to 22. The upgraded control box comes with 10 preprogrammed drills from Richard Prause who is the head coach for Butterfly. He has used his insights and experience to create these 10 drills which will help you develop a more advances game. The other big change is the inclusion of the Automatic Frequency Control function. This function automatically changes the spin and time of shots being thrown by the robot. This is a huge step up because it simulates the way an actual opponent will perform. Instead of only working with shots whose direction and speed you are aware of you will have to play shots you will not be able to predict or expect.
